We have just held the Nations Cup and the British Open Kurling Singles Championships in East Kilbride, Scotland and our thanks go to South Lanarkshire Leisure for sponsoring these fantastic events.
In the Nations Cup England North kept up their steady improvement to win this year’s event with England South in second position and the ever present England Royals in third place, the Scottish teams are showing Great Spirit to come second as a team to England.
Players from all around the U.K. turned up for the British Open Championships, those Northern players are playing so well it is hard to match them but the final was between Bob Jackson of the Wear Kurling Club and Gill Gibbs of the WAMDSAD Club with Bob winning in a close fought final, in third place was Daniel Bainbridge also of the Wear Kurling Club, Daniel was an un-ranked player but after this showing is sure to get an England call up.
Daniel Bainbridge and Sally Paine of St.Augustines Kurling Club, Folkestone in Kent where two young players that are sure to be up and coming stars of the future.
